FAQs
What is Indivisible NAPA?
Indivisible Napa unites people in Napa County who support the Progressive agenda. Our actions are inspired by other activist groups which promote effective ways to make a difference.
What actions does Indivisible NAPA take?
We write postcards and letters to encourage voters, we phone bank and text bank to those same people as well as Get Out The Vote efforts, we register voters (locally, outside the district and state, even remotely), we canvass districts that need our help to Flip to Blue. We have rallies/protests to engage locals in resisting the current political climate.
We also frequently provide Thought Leadership (education and speakers) on items in the Progressive agenda.
Above all, we get through these challenging times by working together, commiserating together, and ultimately, laughing and celebrating together!
Who should join?
We are an inclusive group welcoming people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Our only requirement for membership is active opposition to Trump’s policies, support for the Progressive agenda and respect for our code of conduct. The short version:
Be patient
Be respectful
Be welcoming
Be kind.
Be polite
Be courteous

What is the Progressive Agenda?
This is not a comprehensive list but a representation of our values:
1. Protecting our democratic freedoms
2. Women’s rights
3. Environmental action and protection
4. Equal voting rights
5. LGBTQ+ rights
6. Healthcare for all
7. Money out of politics
8. Equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender, race, etc.
9. Immigration rights and reform
What good can we do in a county that's already BLUE?
We support other Congressional Districts in our State as well as neighboring states that are working to Flip Red to Blue. We do this through postcards, letters, phone banks, text banks, and onsite voter registration and canvassing. We work with several national organizations coordinating efforts to increase voter participation.
Also, our Members of Congress (MoCs) are particularly powerful and they represent us! Through our work, we influence them to wield that power on our behalf.
Rep. Mike Thompson has major influence as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Senator Alex Padilla
Senator Adam Schiff
I'm not a citizen. Can I join?
Yes! The US Constitution ensures equal representation for everyone who lives in the United States, regardless of immigration status. Even if you aren’t eligible to vote in the US, you have the right to be heard by your representative in Congress.
