Our most recent meeting after the election, was well attended by more than 60 activists in various stages of grief and disbelief. The meeting focused on how we want to show up for the most vulnerable members of our community. Michele Grupe, Director, Community Leaders Coalition, and Yazmin Dominguez, representing County Supervisor Joelle Gallagher informed us how the county and city leaders and government plan to respond to any attempts at mass deportations in Napa. Laura Lopez Ledesma, Sr DOJ Full Accredited Representative, Immigration Institute of the Bay Area, helped us to understand the legal protections for our immigrant community. Much of the planning is in progress and we will endeavor to keep our activists apprised of all developments.
